Authentic Living

Hear is something that everyone can relate to in one way or another. This subject strikes to the core of who each of us is and why we tend to hide who we really are; and what we can do to overcome the factors that hinder us from being authentic.

In the featured vide, Scott Yonker explains why authentic living is of the essence for those who wish to have a more meaningful and enjoyable life living in the freedom of authenticity. He first explains why so many of us struggle with being our true-self for some reasons that are very understandable, yet how useless and binding it is to go on living hiding behind a mask.

Not neglecting the importance of giving a good impression and positive impact on people, just as long as our presentation is aligning with the kind of person we really are. Getting too preoccupied with what others think and trying to please everyone is something that most of us catch ourselves doing from time to time, but Scott encourages us to hold fast to our real self to be genuine in authentic living.

Authentic living is a much more meaningful and enjoyable way to live-out our lives, so let us take a look at how this relates to each of us and how we may overcome the barriers that keep us from such freedom.

Stay authentic!

I agree to everything you said in the video. In my opinion, the main problem we have is that we are oriented to the idea that it is great to belong to be accepted and recognized by all people; in reality that is not possible.

You’re right Kim, there’s something in us that insists on being acceptable to everyone, but it simply is impossible indeed and just down-right ludicrous!
    Good point 🙂

I think the reason why we forget to live in authenticity sometimes is because we’re afraid of what people would say and think about us. I mean, it is really hard to gauge up with the expectations of other people but as long as we know who we are and the good things we do, we can live happier and better. Thanks!
